Step down your basket diameter to get thicker pucks! This let's you grind coarser for more forgiving extractions and gives increased body.

A custom tamp-through dosing funnel is available as an option to greatly ease puck prep as they are profiled to match the basket's step. Funnels are made from anodized aluminum with orings to provide a compression fit

You can use any tamper with this (49.7mm for the 58/49 size for example). If using a leveling tamper, the outer diameter of the floating collar must be smaller than the inside diameter of the basket (machine side). See table below.

Dynamic Shower Screen Kit

This optional kit includes a custom wound stainless steel spring and one 49.7mm puck screen. When dosing anywhere from 10-25% under the max capacity, there will be excessive headspace. The spring is used on top of the puck screen in order to remove all the excess headspace and act as a dynamic shower screen to provide back pressure.

This back pressure will allow for an even coarser grind setting and/or to reach longer shot times and build higher pressures.

For the -20 size basket, I typically use this spring when dosing less than 10g.

For the -28 size basket, I typically use this spring when dosing less than 18g.

A common question I get asked when looking at this basket is what tamper should you use?

Any 49mm tamper work but I use a 58mm Force Tamper with 49mm base plate. By popular request, a small batch of these base plates will be made to pair with this basket.
