Here is a portafilter adapter and shower screen system to use 49mm portafilters* directly with a 58mm machine. The one-piece adapter has complex geometry making it the first item on here requiring 5-axis machining.

This portafilter reducing adapter is dubbed as STAGE 3 in a lineup of four different offerings to start using smaller diameter baskets.

Compatible with:

• Symmetric lug machines like La Marzocco, Flair 58, E61, Decent, Slayer, ECM, Rocket, etc

• Portafilter adapter with handle

• Two group head seals (one spare)
• 49mm Adjustable Portafilter (if selected)

Other considerations:

• Take note of the angles in which the adapter and portafilter are locked in at. Due to the unique arrangement, this may not suit all machines even though listed as compatible

Note:

• *At this time, only my portafilter has been verified to be compatible - which works with all of my 49mm Billet Baskets. The OEM Cremina portafilter is compatible but it is uncertain if all of them are as it was produced for decades - there may be variations or design changes over that time period.
• Aftermarket CNC machined Cremina/La Pavoni portafilters should be avoided due to the narrow/small mounting lugs.
